MARRIAGE LICENSE INFORMATION
 | Application can be made in person by one or both parties in the Clerk of the District Court office. |
| There is a three day waiting period from application date to date marriage license can be picked up. |
| The cost of the license is $50.00 and is paid for when the license is issued. The fee must be paid in | |
| CASH ONLY. |
| After the ceremony, the original license is returned to the Clerk of the District Court and then forwarded | |
| to the Kansas Department of Health and Vital Statistics. |
| A certified copy of a marriage license can be obtained at the Clerk of the District Court office for $1.50. |

| Blood tests are not required in the State of Kansas. | |

| In Neosho County, the application may be done at either Chanute or Erie but licenses are only issued in | |
| the Erie office. |
